Education for over 75 million children in emergency situation across 35 countries has been disrupted. It's worse for a girl child; girls are 2.5 times more likely to be out of school than boys in conflict-affected regions. This is why CIYOTA is working hard to improve educational outcomes for girls in upper primary schools in Kyangwali Refugee settlement.
The central premise to the Girls of Transformation program is that the key to long term self awareness and effectiveness in life is for one to follow the key timeless, guiding qualities that transformed girl should possess for her community and personal growth in all dimensions of life. Under this program, we have decided to support girls of dropping out of school in secondary school and forty girls in upper primary school who will soon transition to secondary level and serve as role models to thousands of other girls in similar situation.
